Oh, the funny

Sometimes I discover a website that I fall in love with immediately, and devour during all of my spare time until I tire of it. TuckerMax.com is the one I'm currently digging. He's offensive and hilarious, and a great writer. He actually put up a "guide to writing" because a lot of people have written to him to get tips. Since I'm all about trying to get started writing again and breaking through the writer's block, I'll put the link up here.

Check out the hilarity! Read some of the stories. You'll laugh while trying to convince yourself it's not funny because you aren't a bad person.

Don't you just hate people who don't update their blogs in forever?

Yeah, me too.

I've been wanting to do more vaccination posts, I just haven't had the time. I will be doing more before July 31, which is the baby's 6 month checkup, and he's due like six more shots.

But I'm in a bad mood today so I won't bore my -2 readers with that.

You'll be seeing more of me,

It was announced yesterday that Syd Barrett, founding member of Pink Floyd, died at the age of 60.

May he rest in peace.

VAX: Part II Coming Soon

Last week we visited some friends, and one of them is studying to become a doctor. They told us about their "crazy friend" who refused to get her kids vaccinated, and we're like, uh, yeah, we're thinking about that too...anyway, he let me borrow one of his text books with a whole chapter on vaccines, why we need them, etc. He also claims that they have found out what causes autism, and that it's purely genetic, and couldn't be caused by vaccines. Although I think he's mistaken about the fact that they've found out what causes autism, because everything I've read said they don't know for sure what causes it, I'm VERY excited to read this book and present the "other side" of the argument.

It's been awhile since I posted because I've been busy, but the baby goes in for his six month check up at the end of the month, and he's due some shots, so I want to at least research as far as the shots he's supposed to be getting.

Also, here's an interesting article about the immune system and autism. I found it very informative and not too confusing.
